Royal Armed Forces Inspector General Receives Spanish Chief Of Army Staff

Upon high Royal Instructions, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone received, on Tuesday at the FAR General Staff headquarters in Rabat, Spanish Chief of Army Staff General Jaime Dominguez Buj.

The talks centred on a range of issues relating to boosting bilateral cooperation between the Moroccan Royal Armed forces and the Spanish army, FAR General Staff said in a statement.

The two Generals also expressed satisfaction regarding the steady development of Moroccan and Spanish armies, the same source said.

Military cooperation between Morocco and Spain is governed by a Defence Cooperation Agreement that covers training, exchange of visits and the conduct of military exercise.

The two military institutions also signed a Memorandum of Understand on crisis management cooperation.

A joint military commission takes place every two years alternating between Rabat and Madrid.

General Jaime Dominguez Buj is leading a Spanish delegation on a visit to Morocco on February 09-10.
